The Boeing Co. on Monday reported an 8 percent increase in commercial aircraft deliveries year over year in the second quarter.

Chicago-based Boeing (NYSE: BA) said in a press release[1] that it delivered 197 commercial aircraft in the second quarter, up from 181 for the same period in the previous year.

For the first six months of the year, the aerospace manufacturer has delivered 381 commercial aircraft. That’s up from 342 during the first half of 2014.

Leading the way, as always, was the single-aisle 737 with 128 deliveries in the second quarter and 249 in the first half.
