M T Bank seeks to fill 100 technology-related jobs
One of the largest private-sector employers in Western New York wants to fill 115 jobs – most of which are based in Western New York – in an ongoing effort to grow its technology division.
Buffalo-based M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB) has positions available in project management, business analysis, quality assurance and software engineering. Of the 115 jobs, 80 are newly created roles to support M&T’s multi-million investment in its technology systems.
“We were trending in the high 80s a few months ago (in terms of available technology jobs) and then we had a surge of openings,” said Marcie Vassallo[1], manager of talent acquisition. “In April and May alone, we opened up almost 55 positions and, if I add March, we’ve opened up 92 positions.”
